Fitness League - all teachers are fully qualified and hold a Diploma in the Bagot-Stack System of exercise.
This unique system developed by Mary Bagot Stack in the 1930’s is based on yoga, remedial health exercises and movement. It offers a complete approach to body fitness and mobility. The focus is on core strengthening of abdominal and back muscles to achieve ‘central control’ which provides the basis of good posture from which all movement can be performed safely and effectively.
Music - to get the full benefit from an exercise class it is important that you enjoy it. Fitness League teachers put great emphasis on choosing and selecting a variety of music to accompany each exercise, which encourages maximum effort. This is one of the aspects that sets us apart from other exercise systems.
The exercises are low impact, effective, powerful and safe, minimizing stress on the weight-bearing joints, suitable for all abilities and frequently recommended by many physiotherapists. Members testify to the fact that their recovery from illness and injury is remarkable, due to the fact that they have been exercising on a regular basis with the Fitness League.
We all know that exercise gives you that feel good factor! Our classes provide a warm friendly welcome where each teacher takes a personal interest in the progress of their members. Under her tuition there will be a noticeable improvement in posture, mobility, muscle strength and stamina.
Today, the Fitness League Ireland is thriving, mainly due to the fact that the Principal Isolde McCullagh through hard work, enthusiasm and belief in the Bagot Stack System of Exercise trained many of the current Irish teachers.
